Join us for our group and guided meditation sessions

Meditation is the gentle re-focusing of attention that allow us to control the never-ending stream of thoughts running through our mind every minute of the day. Bringing the mind under control allows us to see the reality of situations we experience. We can then analyse and reflect meaningfully on thoughts and emotions.  This brings peace and calmness to ourselves and to those around us.

All meditation classes run by Tara Meditation Centre are conducted by donation – we suggest a gift of $5.

Introducing ancient and simple meditation and relaxation techniques to help with emotional difficulties, stress, pain and illness for the purpose of developing increased awareness, balance, vitality and meaning in everyday life.

All welcome. Suggested donation $5.

Foundational and Analytical Meditation

Wed 5.45pm-6.30 pm

Take the opportunity to learn about the nature of one’s mind and practice simple and safe techniques to calm the mind, eliminate tension and develop concentration. Analytical meditation enables us to develop insight and wisdom. Suitable for new students as well as those experienced meditators who find group meditation useful.

Mind Caring

Sun 9.00am-10.00am

The meditations are based on universal themes like compassion, respect, mutual understanding and happiness. These sessions will include meditational techniques such as focusing on the breath, visualisation and experiential themes.

Suitable for both the beginner & more advanced student/practitioner.
